Meet Our Doctors
Dr. Heather Cline
The person we’d love to go to the lake with!
A proud native of the Ozarks, Dr. Heather Cline grew up in Lebanon and Marshfield, Missouri. Her path to dentistry was shaped early — after a long road of orthodontic treatment and the care of a wonderful childhood dentist, she knew she wanted to spend her career helping people the same way. She earned her BS in Cell and Molecular Biology from Missouri State University (formerly SMSU) and her DDS from UMKC School of Dentistry in 2001.
Dr. Cline returned to Springfield and opened her practice in February 2002 — a small rental space in southeast Springfield called Cline Dental, with just three employees. Over 25 years, that practice has grown into a thriving team of 24 in a beautiful standalone facility.
Her clinical interests have expanded alongside her practice. Invisalign, dental implants, and oral appliance therapy for sleep apnea are among her areas of focus, and she has recently pursued advanced continuing education in sleep apnea treatment, grafting, and implant placement. She is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the Missouri Dental Association (MDA), and the Springfield Area Dental Society. Dr. Cline is also a proud ongoing member of Mommy Dentist in Business, a national organization supporting dentist-entrepreneurs who are also mothers.
What drives Dr. Cline is simple: she loves to see people smile. From guiding patients through extensive treatment plans to seeing them return for their semi-annual cleanings, the rapport she builds with patients brings her true joy. Over the years, she has also witnessed a meaningful shift in patients’ understanding of how oral health connects to whole-body wellness, inspiring her to expand her scope of care so that patients can live longer with their own teeth, or with excellent replacements that simply weren’t an option in the past.
She and her husband, Frank — an oral surgeon she met through the dental community — have been married for 15 years and are the proud parents of four children.She is also actively involved in Trinity Lutheran’s youth council. Outside the office, you might spot her cheering her kids on at their sports games and school events, rooting for the Cardinals and Chiefs, relaxing at the lake, reading novels, or enjoying the great outdoors with her family.
Dr. Kelsey Hayes
The person whose dog we want to play with the most!
A native of Blue Springs, Missouri, in the Kansas City area, Dr. Kelsey Hayes found her way to dentistry early. She always enjoyed going to the dentist as a kid, and when she got braces, she was fascinated by the way her orthodontist worked: lining up before-and-after pictures of kids’ smiles, letting her pick out new band colors at each visit, and making the whole thing something to look forward to. That early enthusiasm stayed with her. She went on to graduate from Drury University and earn her DDS from UMKC School of Dentistry.
For almost four years now, Dr. Hayes has been part of the team at Elevate Dental Studio, where she loves working with patients to improve their smiles and overall oral health. Implants are a particular area of focus for her. Just as meaningful is the way she connects with patients: she likes meeting people where they are and helping them overcome dental anxiety or past negative experiences through constant encouragement and thorough explanation.
Outside the office, Dr. Hayes loves to travel, especially somewhere with a beach and plenty of sunshine. She’s a lake enthusiast, an avid reader, and a cyclist, and you’ll find her cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Our process
Office Tour
When you step through our doors, you’ll be welcomed with warm smiles and a bright, updated space. After checking you in for your appointment, we’ll give you an office tour and help you feel right at home.
Cleaning
Then we’ll take you back to a soothing operatory. Kick back and watch your favorite show from Netflix, Hulu, or Disney+ while we gently clear away plaque and tartar from your teeth. Our hygienists are also adept at identifying areas of concern, such as gum inflammation, and will give you personalized advice on how to maintain a healthy oral hygiene routine.
Exam
Finally, we will conduct a comprehensive oral exam to detect any potential issues that may require treatment.
One of our dentists will examine your teeth, gums, and mouth, looking for any signs of potential issues and answer any of your questions.
Our goal is to ensure that you feel welcome, informed, and comfortable throughout the process so you can enjoy a healthy, beautiful smile for years to come.
